Along with Morningside’s proximity to Piedmont Park, there are several parks located within the neighborhood, while the BeltLine trail loop passes by its western edge. Morningside is the oldest of several pre-existing subdivisions that were officially grouped together as Morningside/Lenox Park in the 1930s. Development of the neighborhood began in the 1920s, with many homes remaining from this period. The architecture lining Morningside’s idyllic tree-lined streets includes Craftsman bungalows, American Foursquares, and Tudor Revival homes.
